The Thalliki Vandanam Scheme (తల్లికి వందనం) is a flagship welfare scheme initiative launched by the Andhra Pradesh Government in 2025. The TDP-led coalition promised the scheme before the 2024 elections and officially rolled it out in 2025. It is a program to promote school education by providing financial support to mothers from economically weaker sections in Andhra Pradesh. The Government of Andhra Pradesh officially launched the Thalliki Vandanam Scheme on 12th June 2025 for the academic year 2025–26.

The main motto of the Thalliki Vandanam Scheme is to prevent school dropouts from Classes 1 to 12 and improve overall schooling standards across Andhra Pradesh. It also aims to enhance the quality of education for economically backward sections. The School Education Department and the Board of Intermediate Education implement it. 

The Thalliki Vandanam తల్లికి వందనం supports Economically Backward Families and provides financial assistance ₹15,000 per child per academic year. 
Eligible mothers or guardians whose children are studying from Class 1 to 12 (1st class to 10th, Intermediate, and relevant studies recognized by the government).
Both government and private schools and college students can enrol in this scheme.
The amount will be credited in the Mother’s or guardian’s Bank account through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). 
₹2,000 is allocated for school or junior college maintenance, while the remaining ₹13,000 is directly credited to the mother’s or guardian’s account.

Eligibility Criteria for తల్లికి వందనం

The student must be a resident of Andhra Pradesh.
The student must study in Class 1 to 12th or any relevant studies in a recognized School or College in Andhra Pradesh. (aided or unaided, including Residential Schools)
Annual Household Income should not exceed  ₹2.5 lakh. Thus, the household income limit is ₹10,000/month in rural areas and ₹12,000/month in urban areas.
The Household should not exceed 3 acres of wet land or 10 acres of Dry land. If both do not exceed 10 acres.
A household should not own a four-wheeler vehicle except a taxi, an auto, or a tractor. Electricity consumption should be less than 300 units per month. 
Individuals paying Income tax are not eligible for this scheme.
Government Employees and higher officials are not eligible.
Attendance for every student is around 75%.

How to Apply for Thalliki Vandanam Scheme

Students for the Academic year 2025-26 who would like to apply to Thalliki Vandanam need to visit the official portal page of the Navasakam Beneficiary Management NBM website, gsws-nmb.ap.gov.in
After entering the website, select the Thalliki Vandanam Scheme from the dropdown menu and select the academic year 2025-26.
Enter the valid student details, such as name, class, school, or college name, and submit the mother’s or guardian’s details along with proof of family income Certificate.
Upload the scanned document with Mother’s Ration Card, Aadhar card, and bank passbook.
Child: Date of birth certificate, school admission, bona fide certificate with latest photograph.
After submission, an otp will be received at the registered mobile number.
Submit and verify it once the online submission is done.
Track the application status on the NBM Portal.

The student who applied for the Thalliki Vandanam Scheme can track the status on the gsws-nbm.ap.gov.in/NBM website.
After entering the site, select the Scheme Thalliki Vandanam for the academic year 2025-26.
You can view the Thalliki Vandanam Application Status in a dashboard that shows Pending, Approved, and Disbursed.

If your name is not on the list or status shows ineligible, you can approach your Gram/ Ward Secretariats to file a grievance.

More than 67lakh students in Andhra Pradesh benefit from this scheme. Funds can be used for tuition, uniforms, books, and other education-related expenses.

The Andhra Pradesh State Government has released the Thalliki Vandanam First Beneficiary List, which is displayed at the Village and Ward Secretariats.
If any student applications are rejected, contact the Village Gram and Ward Secretariats. Ineligible applicants can reapply by updating their details at the Ward Secretariat
In the Thalliki Vandanam First Phase list, more than 67lakh were identified as beneficiaries.
